hahaha ... well at least my efforts for the last year was not in vain. I know I deserve better grading then just a 'C' which i got last year . Well heard from supervisors that I could stand a chance to promote to SSGT -the next grade up the hierarchy haha. I will keep my fingers cross haha ... if get the rank , good for me . Goes to show that my department or organization values my service . If not when my bond expires , I will consider moving on.

Work wise, things are considered going on rather smoothly. Study wise ? haha currently waiting for my 3 modules results to see if I can retain my 2nd upper class honours ? haha . Let's see later on

Family wise , all I can say is that I am totally sick of my father . The sight of him makes me sadden and totally dishearten. The more I talk about him or the things he has done, I just feel totally demoralized. How I envy those fathers who plan for their childrens. Those fathers who plan and save up for their childrens are just so responsible. And not simply throw the burden of living in a highly stress Singapore environment to the kids to handle. I know he's not earning much and all but that not the issue. Father earning lesser income in the tough taxi economy, i understand but its not an excuse to do things that are beyond his means.

I am totally sadden and disappointed with him. Time and time again , he has let me down . I know we cannot choose our parents , decided by Gods above and all. But I can choose how I want to face him myself ? I can no longer face him the way I used to .

As the saying goes, " one can forgive , but can one really forgive and forget ? "
I doubt i can ...

Some times , it just hurts to breathe or returning home. Home is supposed to be one's shelter where homely love are , filled with hope and passion. Now I see him , it just hurts painfully .

I self admit that i am rather strong and independent. Time and time again, he has made me cry . Tears are constantly shed for him . I am getting tired of it .

Many thoughts and feelings going through my mind ...
What future lies for me in the near future ?
Definitely things won't be the same as I go through changes in my life, career.
As the saying goes, the higher you go, there will be more of those people who will bring you down at all cost.

Career wise, going strong and stable. I feel happy and fortunate that my hard work all this years is being recognized. My pride, my work ethnics, my principles. I stick and adhere to it.
I do not believe in sucking up to my boss/supervisors, getting into their good books.
I believe strongly in working hard and doing my best, one day, trustworthy/sincere supervisors will see the effort you have been putting.

True enough, such bosses are a dieing breed. But I believe they exist.

Cannot be avoided, the higher I go in my career, there will be those people who are "green eye" and will take all cost to bring me down.

I will be strong ...

Just finished my two modules projects, now in the midst of preparing, studying for exams

Yesterday met up with my uni friends at new Kaplan city campus at Wikie Edge, studied for near 4 hours? Then went to Liang Seah street - Xian De Lai for steamboat...
Just last week, had the same steamboat at the same location with GGG gang (w/o ven =( ).
Last week had a soup base with GGG was tomyam and pork ribs, yesterday had pork ribs and ma la chicken. Not bad , quite spicy and tasty.

Just brought a puma sports watch for $229, spf sponsoring $150 for welfare purposes...
so...buy lo ! hahah

been going around the net surfing for jobs for my backup career path in event of no promotion from my side next year.

Sorry people for the late posting, was busy with work and studies...
Kinda of lot to report lately haha recent happenings i meant.

Let's see, just met up with some buddies over dinner at swensen's at Bugis Junction after my class ends at 6pm.
because i was late, i treated them ice cream lol..
So rare of me to treat right? haha ...
Had some chit chat and catching up done over dinner.
Really appreciate the occasional gathering and meet ups, even if it is just for a simple dinner or chit chat.

I am a simple person to satisfy!

Work wise ... i feel betrayed ...
being a regular at my work place, i had to train and under study several NS boys
This new chap i am tasked to teach , apparently is different in terms of mentality, age and mindset.

I self admit that i am a friendly and approachable person in private life as well as work. You know what irritates me ? I had told this chap from day 1. I treat him nicely and guide him along as a friend. In which i expect utmost commitment from him as well. I told him that i treat him nice, do not take me for granted. If not i will give him hell as well

but after umpteen pet talk and nice reminders, he is falling on dear ears. His attitude in work sux ! imagine a newly posted NS officer talks with no manners, treats our workplace like his family, sleep on duty, takes the job we are doing lightly, shows no respect for seniors....

Come on, it is barely 1 month into his FUCKING NATIONAL SERVICE TERM and he starts to slack openly and freely?

THink of it makes my blood boils...

Recently, busy with my management research project. Went screw loose with the doing of the major project . But, finally just somehow managed to complete and handed in earlier on . No idea what grades i will be getting . Hopefully at least a 'C' ? haha i dun ask for more . haha cos i dun think i will get gd grades for this project. I am a more exam person than project person haha ...

Oh and i just paid my instalment of my school fees - $2800 +
Heartpain ... but it's an investment for a degree ...

I went to check with Singtel, which is SOOOOO much customer friendly. The outlet i went was sengkang compasspoint. They said that their outlet can handle the changing of provider for me as well as changing the line owner from my father to me . basically , BA KA LIAO lo ... So much better then fucking brainless M!

This Korean version story plot though revolve around the same concept
But the way of each character being portrayed is relatively different.

We had a wonderful dinner at Lotus Restaurant @ Quality Hotel (Balestier)

Followed by Xmen movie at tampines mall.
Nice effects but storyline a bit different from what i expected ..

Though they are all important people that matters to me but seems that there are differences between these categories . Dun you think ?

Friends - I can have many friends, friends whom just go "hi and bye" whenever you happen to see them on the street

Family - Parents are those who will never forsake you even when the whole world turns their back on you.

Pals - Close friends that withstand the test of time and misunderstanding. Friendships that survived many obstacles and still going strong as ever . Pals who are constantly inside your heart even if they are not with you physically at the moment.

Buddies - Almost the same definition with pals ? But it came upon me that do not know why ... my buddies/pals consist mostly of girls ? haha ... not funny but it is a fact ...

Wee ! Exams are over for now ! ha ha ... Just finished my cross cultural management exam module yesterday. Not bad, though some portions did not really did well but I think pass should not be a problem. The problem is i do not want just a pass , i want HONOURS ! haha ...

After stressful exams from 2pm to 5pm, went out for dinner at PS cafe cartel and movie at the cathay (17 again).

Not a bad show, reflects how humans can be so self fish at times. It did portrayed true aspect of life whereby each individual has a point in life regretted certain decisions or actions and wishes to have a chance to relive the moment to make a new decision that might have been better.

Me too, I did have that thought. If only I had the power to reverse time and have the chance again, I will not make the same mistake again.

Well, to errors is human right ? who does not make mistakes, though we cannot go back in time neither can we go back to 17 years old again. So learning from mistake and learning how to bounce back is the vital factor. It is what that has made me who I am today.

Thinking back ... what was I doing when i was 17 years old ???
Let's see... 17 years old is like 5 years ago ? ha ha ... Flashing back on the things i did when i was 17 years old ... haha funny ... memorable ...

The movie depicts true moments of family life , from making choices to raise a dog , make choices on life issues : giving birth , working decisions, giving in to each other .

Did some thinking on my own and i discovered that I actually places a lot of concern and emphasis on my friends as I do not have a complete family . Not saying my parents, they are lovely and all , is rather my cousin and aunties side of my mother side and father side.

Other then my god parents *4th uncle side with my cousins, i am not close at all or rather not in contact with the rest of the cousins, nieces or aunty and uncle.

I am not like those people whose big family is together and has very close bonding.
In fact, my family does not have luck and fate with this kinda relationships

Aunties / Uncles who are either bastards and bitches that my parents has already given up on them and cousins who are also ill-breed who does not even care about my grandfather when he was alive , what more uncles and aunties who are alive now (My parents).

Talking about seniority in the family , those cousins should come and visit my parents , but NOOOOO. Non bothered to even make a call to wish my parents happy cny , what more come over to my house ?

In a summary , i can say that in my growing up years , i lack relative or family love ? ( not parents love btw ) . In a way , over the years, I channeled my those love or wanting to be love to my friends . I treat my friends almost or just like my family . Cos without them , there is no Alvin that you know today .

Only have a few close and trust worthy relatives, just happen to reflect totally on my friends.

WooOO~!O , just finished my HRM - Strategy and Policy 50% exam !!!! Its tiring man !!! luckily wat i studied came out ... only a small portion i wrote a bit out of point ... quite confident ! haahaha . for this semester , one more ECONS paper to go man !!!! WOoOoOoooo Until more subjects come next semester =(

Just now i wrote my paper , so proud of myself hahah write until 2 pens gave way , no more ink , and my hands cramp like siao !!!!

But too bad , i will be having my division attachment late feb to Golf bedok police div , gona affect one of my module .... hopefully .... things can go smooothly arbo i bang wall liao ....

lol , sorry to all , had been real busy recently... din have time and was also lazy to update heheh while i was MIA-ing from blogging , had been doing a lot of things

First of all wish all my friends, pals, family members a belated xmas wish and an advance happy new year 2009. 2008 has been a major change for me , for my career , for my studies, and my life (family and frds) hopefully , things will get a lot better for me in 2009 , sometimes it's tiring but i just have to put on the smile .

I may seem jovial and all , but at times , i am indeed very weak person . yeah ... everyone has a weak side of them yeah ? just that they choose to hide it . so yeah ...

* Met up with madeline and nigel and went to visit andrew tham at all saints home, he's recovering well and steady . Hope he recovers soon . Sad to see him in this state

* Met up with ch , julia , yx at ikea tampines , eat beef and pork balls lol that was "famous" , well not so bad .. but a bit expensive . 15 BALLS for $7 or 8 dollars . lolx nuts yeah ?

* Met up with chery , chun , ven , jo at vivocity before xmas , had a short gathering . Got a belated present from them - DKNY soap and perfume . (i like it !!! thanks gals)

* Went to Royal plaza on scotts (duno how to spell la , heck) , had a wonderful dinner at there with my team . ( photos at facebook ! )

* Had a wonderful company DND and a wonderful xmas celebration at workplace , i got a Paul Smith roll on perfurme from my shi fu =D

* Heard some rumors at workplace whereby i duno who to trust and etc . Seems so how shld i say it ... ermmmz ... scary ? oh wells . GOd above , will guide me ....

* Busying with work (so far so good , thx god =) ) * Busying with KAPLAN assignments for this semester . (1 assisgnment down, 1 more assignment and 2 more exams to go for this semester before my short short "break" )

* Family wise , so far seems that relationship between a1 and b2 , seems gd . happy for them .

* Seen facebook entries, sadden by some post but yeah ... cannot be helped since the person does not want to do anything about it , but yeah , hopefully things get better. i miss the person. I really really do . Tears have been shed and hopes has been broken but will the person know and appreciate? (god knows)

Yesterday night , While surfing forums at crunchyroll , i came across a Thailand movie title and went to search on youtube

The name of the movie was " The Love of Siam "

It was a gay love movie made in Thailand , yesh , u did not see wrong , it was a gay love movie. but to me personally , after watching the movie TWICE , i found it was rather a movie of deep friendships and affection.

I had to watch the movie twice to understand certain things the director was trying to bring across. The acting and gestures and all were great =) Same scene i watched twice , it gave me different aspiration and meaning about life.

duno where i got this quote from, think was some comments by the viwers in youtube -

" Love is an evolved form of emotional attachment that transcends sexual attraction of the physical form "

Love the story line , the way the female lead and the male leads acted in the movie. And i love the theme song too !

If after u watched the movie , u might feel the same as me , different aspects of the movie enlightens u in one way or another.

From the movie , i learn happiness between family members never to be taken for granted. Like the male lead "Mew" , he was living alone for 5 years ever since his grandmother passed away.How many people can withstand the sorrows and all ? The friendship / love between the two male leads " Mew " and " Tong " was so deep and strong, they understand each other and cared for each other . No one else understands their relationship . They had love for each other but gave it up for the fact that it was wrong.

" I can't be with you as your boyfriend , but it does not mean i do not love you"

Different characters in the movie had different stories and meaning behind it , i find this movie very interesting as it is rather the 1st movie that i wanted to watch twice to understand the hidden meaning. I felt i had "grown" with the movie.

To some people , might feel disgusted with "gay" movie and all , but to me this is a movie about friendship.

22 years of living on this world ...

will things change for the better for me?
or it had already changed but i did not notice or i was too greedy ??

This is not directed at any one but somehow some how i feel that maybe it is due to growing up? that certain friendships / kin ships that i really treasure and placed it in an important place in my heart is so vulnerable at moments like this
It's less then 2 1/2 hours to my birthday and it did not occur to certain people to even send a birthday msg or even a call ...
Not that i am petty (small gas) or what so ever over the present or what , its the thought that counts that matters to me most . Even a simple happy birthday , it is able to warm my heart
Or is it that i am a failure as a friend / family for the past 22 years of my life , that no one bothers?

Yeah i know , i am EMO-ing .... but it's a fact

One may be busy with life / marriage / school / work but i find it is all rubbish . RUBBISH i repeat . like i am not working ? i am not studying ? i dun have family ? i dun have other commitments? if i can plan my time well and prioritise my life accordingly , i dun see why they cannot . Or it's their perpective / definition of a friendship or kinship

It made me feel that i am those friends/family members that they only thought in times of trouble or when they need me then they think of me and contact me . It hurts ...

Well , i was awarded the internal one ... instead of the external one ... but nvm , still awards to me , definition is still same , i am an award winner =X

When i walked up to receive the award , i was feeling so nervous ! haha and proud too ~
Coming from such a small division in Police and still junior in terms of service , i managed to get the award , surpassing my peers and squad mates ... i must say Gods above know i have been putting in my best in my work =X

Never the less , I am proud and happy for myself (dun wry , i will be humble) ... I will continue to work hard , as my studies come along , i believe with help from family and friends , i will make it !

After some korea drama with my mother , went into my room and started Staring at computer photo archive , reached the folder of police pals , can't help but bring back a lot of fun happy , sad moments i treasured with police pals when we were at training at hta cck .

We spend time together , had fun together , endure tough trainings together , gave each other motivation and encouragement irregardless of circumstances . That was the time where there were no " back stabbing " , "sabo-ing" to get the objective u wan .

Time files , it has been more then 2 years ! looking back , i really miss all of them and really treasure the friendship i had with all of them . As i said before , true friends are those who care for one another even when both does not get to meet often

All of us are in different work position , teams , working timing and all , we rarely have a chance to meet up . For me , occasionally receiving a forwarded msg or a simple take care msg is enough to warm my heart . Seems to be that I am mostly the one who does that . Oh well , it's okay . does not matter . Just hope each and every of them stay safe and happy .

My parents joined me for dinner at Compass Point Food Court after my day shift earlier on . Kind of heart warming , Whole family sit together for dinner enjoying good tasty food haha.

1st day back at work after 12 days of slacking , rotting . Having the feeling of not working yet again . oh well , after effects of a holiday . Went to hospital to visit my cousin who was admitted to hospital . hope he's recovering fine and fast soon .

Taking things one step at a time , hopefully things all worked out soon ...
Cannot wait to start studying in Oct , throw everything else one side and focus on studies...

Just finished morning shift , reached home at about 9pm , learn quite a fair deal of things today at work . Meaningful , although it was chaotic .

Realised that if you want to know how the things work , u must first go through it and experience everything . Same to goes for life's different aspect . Cannot expect miracles to happen overnight or expect gods above to grand u a miracle when u urself do not work or even show efforts to earn the miracle .

Seen the news of a 23 years old indo-chinese who fall overboard the yatch. poor chap, the parents must be heart broken and dead worried for him . It has been 2 days ? i wonder what are the survival rates of him ? ermmz . hope gods above will grant him a miracle ?

Health wise . starting to recover bit by bit . My craving for food improved today . well at least eat more as compared to yesterday. Yesterday's food was like less then 1/2 a bowl of kway tiao and 1/2 bowl of porridge ? lolx

Was joking with my mother , how i wish i can stay sick for more then 2 weeks , confirm slim down one. she wacked me on my leg saying choy choy . ha ha . just joking only . being sick , the feeling sux to the core . no energy to do things , see food u wana eat but no feeling to eat it . etcccc

Recieved a rare call from a squad mate , sean . whom "mia" and lost contact since posting out to units . Real glad and happy recieving the call from him . Well at least , i am being remembered ? lol well cannot blame also . he's busy with work ? ha ha . came upon me that true friends are the ones who remember each other even though we do not contact each other often . it's the thought that counts .

WHen u r down , sad , or even happy with something gd happens to u , true frds are they one who are willing to share those news with u no matter how busy they are . true frds are those who love and appreicate you for who u r and not what u r .

I am glad in my life , i met several groups of friends who withstand the test of time , those friends who stood by me during different ups and downs of my life .

Okie due to uprising problems faced by the organization , 1DD (some director) of the organization decided to bring forward the monthly in-service to today . At 1st wanted to take mc as i was really having fever , but this morning felt better so i went.

Slept through out the journey on mrt to novena , reached there about 8+ , the "talk" started at 9am . Went into the LT which was quite spacious . There comes our boss and the 1DD . he looks kinda friendly for a high ranking officer. And he goes giving the 1 hr speech .

One sentence that he said stays in my mind (i rephrased it in my way )

My mother ordered a bowl of kway tiao fishball soup for me , think i only managed to finish less then 1/2 . Then waited for the stupid doctor at sengkang polyclinic for 1 hr and 20 mins. wtf ? so long one . that's why i HATE seeing doctors.

After blogging the previous post , i went to sleep after popping two panadol, was feeling real sick , you know the fever feeling . whole body pain , sore throat , very cold , tired .. was sleeping until shiyun called me .

Shiyun: " vin ar , where you ?"
me: " at home lo , sleeping "
Shiyun: " still at home ar? later what time you reaching ? "
me: " we meeting today meh ? not tml meh ?"
shiyun: "today la , wednesday ma ?"
me: "todae wed meh ? i thought tues ? i thought we meeting tomolo"
yeah and that does it , i totally lost track of the date/day .
after some wash up , i longbang my father taxi to my grandma house to celebrate her 76th birthday

Ohya , the mango cake was brought by me haha , so cosy feeling , my uncles/cousins/parents singing happy birthday for grandma . <3>

After which , i rush down to bugis junction to meet up with the whole gang of pals . we hardly have the chance where by all of us are free to meet up . so i really treasure the gathering today. We went into NYDC and ordered our food . Sadly , due to my illness , i did not even finish 1/2 of the baked pasta . We also had a lot of chit chat session as well as photo sessions

On discussing shiyun's marriage and things planned up for her , i suddenly have a lot of thoughts that went past my mind . time pass so fast , know shiyun since sec 1 , ermmz that has been like 8 years of friendship can on counting ? yeah she is gona be mrs lee soon , feel very happy for her as she found her fated one and share the marriage vow . it just hit on to me , what am i doing ? still busy working for my degree . Wondering when i will be able to let my parents enjoy such busyness of me getting married ? LOL (dun laugh please)

My parents lao le , wo ye da le , ermmz but then again , this kind of thing cannot force one . it's yours means yours , run also cannot run . maybe just that mine is still floating some where ?

Just returned home after night shift , had breakfast with collegues jeff and fayyumi at macdonalds (potong pasir) . I feel guilty for eating two filet 'o' fish for breakfast . after which kind fayyumi send me all the way home . Just entered home , woke up my mother for breakfast that i brought for her from macdonalds - hotcakes with sasauge meal !

then started to laze around the computer , checking mails , loggin on to msn and blogging away here ...

next plan is to shower and go to lala land .. then continue my movie marathorn
just watch kungfu panda yesterdae and it was funny !

well , for all of you who know me , i do not have blog at all ever since the whole blog thing went hot and everyones and nearly every one has a blog , blah blah blah

yeah yeah , till now then i decided to get a blog and i realised why pple like blog so much , u have the freedom in ur hands and feel free to design ur own mini world without much rules , restriction..

yeah my blog will be kinda dull for now , still learning to use it though lolx . need guidance from the gurus/shifu/teachers. hint hint lolx

well , for me now , enojying my rare off day slacking and went out with my mother to shopping (fillial hor?) since afternoon . ermmmz lets see , noon time went to compass point and evening went to tampines mall / century square . i am broke i tell you , i spend a total of near $70/- today just by going out

what i spend ? ermmmz as per below:
- $30 on crystal jade
- $20+ on skin products
- $5 on air refresh products for my work locker
- cannot remember le ....
